Cohiba Maduro No.5 Genios

The Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios is a Cuban cigar from the Maduro 5 line, presented here in a box of 25. It reflects Cohiba’s established cigar-making tradition through a format defined by its substantial proportions, mature tobacco character and dark wrapper.

Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios profile

Measuring 140 mm in length with a 52 ring gauge, the Genios 5 vitola offers a generous format for an unhurried smoking experience. Its strength is described as medium to full, developing a rich, full-bodied profile suited to experienced aficionados. The wrapper leaves are aged for five years, a defining detail of the Maduro 5 line that contributes to the cigar’s dark appearance and layered character.

On the palate, the Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios presents notes of cocoa and toasted nuts, complemented by a measured hint of pepper. These flavours give the cigar a rounded yet robust identity, while its aged tobacco blend supports a steady and satisfying progression. Depending on draw and pace, the smoking time is approximately 90 minutes.

Cuban heritage in a substantial format

Made in Cuba, the Genios expresses the careful construction and tobacco traditions associated with Cohiba. Rather than relying on intensity alone, the Maduro 5 presentation combines mature wrapper character with a balanced range of flavours, making the cigar suitable for those who appreciate depth and a pronounced body. For those seeking the same vitola in a smaller presentation, the Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios box of 10 offers an alternative format within the same line.

The Maduro 5 family also includes the Cohiba Maduro 5 Secretos, providing another expression of the line’s mature wrapper character and established Cuban identity.

The box of 25 is a fitting format for enjoying the Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios as part of a considered cigar selection. It can be accompanied by a rich espresso or a fine aged rum, both of which complement its cocoa, toasted-nut and pepper notes.
