San Cristóbal La Punta is a rich and creamy pyramid of medium-bodied wine. Launched by Habanos in 1999, it is handcrafted using only tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. It takes its name from one of the Havana forts used to defend the city during the Spanish Empire in Latin America. Although not well known, it is definitely a cigar worth trying. Like other San Cristóbal brand vitolas, La Punta cigars are fairly smooth, medium strength, often very silky, and develop complex flavors throughout the smoke. Lots of leather, wood, barnyard, hay, nuts, toasty notes, fruit, some chocolate, and some coffee. There is also a delicious sweetness throughout the cigar.
