Plasencia Cigars

The Plasencia family has grown tobacco for over a century and made cigars for decades, producing some 45 million cigars last year alone. In addition to growing organic tobacco, Néstor Andrés, his brothers Gustavo and José, Luis, and his father Néstor had another goal: to launch their own line of cigars. The debut was last year. Today, the family has changed the name from Organica to Original Reserve. The first release is Alma Fuerte, which uses 9 to 10-year-old tobacco. The other two are the 7-year-old Alma de Campo and the 146 Cosecha, which takes its name from the family's 146 vintage in 2011-2012. 146 Cosecha is a blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos, while Alma Fuerte and Alma de Campo are Nicaraguan cigars.
